Kelso, Greenpoint Beer Works, and a weekend of food and beer

Kelso Nut Brown and Greenpoint Beer Works came to Water Taxi Beach for a weekend pairing Brooklyn beer with a special Beach menu.

In June 2006, Kelly Taylor and Greenpoint Beer Works brought Kelso Nut Brown into the Water Taxi Beach summer. The event joined a Kelso tasting, a special menu, and a full weekend built around food and beer.

It became part of the Beach's food-and-drink story: a Brooklyn beer relationship carried through the menu and into the weekend's programming.

Beer, food, and programming.

Water Taxi Beach tasted the brew, worked out a special menu, and built a weekend food-and-beer festival around the partnership. Kelly Taylor, Greenpoint Beer Works, Kelso, Heartland Brewery, and Water Taxi Beach brought the weekend together.

The weekend shows how the Beach brought suppliers, menus, and programming together as one experience.

A Brooklyn beer meets the Beach.

Kelso Nut Brown brought a distinctly Brooklyn flavor to Water Taxi Beach. The beer became the center of a weekend pairing with a special menu and a tasting, giving people another reason to stay by the river. That mix of local beer, beach food, and programming was part of what made WTB unlike anywhere else in the city.
